EASTBOURNE JUNIOR 1 MILE
SUNDAY 14th september 2025 09:
START AND FINISH at the Holywell Tea Chalet
RACE DAY INFORMATION
There will be plenty of marshals on the course, however, if you decide to run alongside your child, please start at the back of the race and ensure that only your child crosses the finish line. If parents/ guardians accidentally cross the line, this could affect both the results and the photos.
Race Pack/Race number
Race numbers will be collected on the day from the event HQ. Please arrive early so you have plenty of time to collect your number. The race number (which includes a timing chip on the reverse) should be visibly pinned to the front of the participants tee shirt or vest. Pins will be available on the day if you need them. Please ensure you complete the important safety information on the reverse of your number. If your child is unable to take part, please let us know so we can remove their name from our start list. If you wish to transfer a place to next year or another runner, please contact Sport Systems at least 2 weeks before the race date at:- enquiries@sportsystems.co.uk
If a race number is passed to another runner without advising the organizer or Sport Systems, the runner will be disqualified and omitted from the results. By wearing somebody else's number the results will be incorrect.
Race Photographs
We are excited to have Maria Wathen Photography covering the 1st Eastbourne Runs mile. Please register your interest to see your photos via the link:

Water Station
There will be water available at the finish. Please only take one cup and refill if necessary as we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. If you need additional water, please carry a bottle with you.
HeaDphones
There is a change to UKA Rule T55 S5 regarding headphones. This means the license standard now requires that no headphones other than bone-conducting headphones are permitted in any race where the route is shared with other users. This includes, but is not limited to, parks, seafront promenades, footpaths, bridleways, roads, and open spaces.
Results
Results will be available shortly after the event on the Sport Systems website. They will be available on this website too: https://www.eastbourneruns.co.uk/
Medals
Medals will be available for the 1-mile junior race as the children cross the line.
Parking
There is limited seafront and local street parking. Not all parking is free & the parking attendants can be keen so where needed, ensure you put enough money in to cover your run time. Where possible car share, use public transport, cycle, jog or walk to the start.
Toilets
There is a toilet block located next to the start. We recommend you bring a debit card as the council may be charging to use the facilities.
Baggage Drop
There will be a baggage drop next to Race HQ. Should you leave any belongings with us you do so at your own risk. Volunteers will be manning the area. We will not be held responsible for any losses.
Charity
To raise awareness of Adelaide's genetic disorder STXBP1 and to pay for future medical treatment or therapy for her needs.
this year's chosen charity is Adi’s Sunshine.
