ROUTE
Starting 100 metres west of the bandstand on the middle prom, the run will head west along the lower promenade, passing the Wish Tower towards Holywell tea chalet. It then returns east on the lower prom, through the Band Stand, past the Pier, along Fishermans Green until Sovereign park where the turn around point is. It will then retrace the same route west, along the promenade, back to the finish point 100 metres west of the Bandstand.
“I began my running journey with the Run Wednesdays club a year ago with a Couch to 5K group. I had never run as far as 10k before, and to be honest, it was a challenge, especially in the heat on that warm day in June. I decided to ask for sponsorship for this charity as I used to live on the same road as John Paul in Hailsham, and I remember his parents setting the charity up to support adults with learning disabilities to live independently. I now live close to the accommodation in Church St, so I was able to see it being built and wanted to do my bit to contribute to the wonderful charity that was started so long ago.”
